Our Story

The Emerald Foundation originated from a 20 year old non-profit known as the Forget-Me-Not Children’s Center. The Forget-Me-Not Children’s Center was founded in Marshall County, Kentucky and served children from 3-18 years old who had been victims of abuse or witnessed domestic violence. It was funded by generous donations and various grants. In 2016, the name changed to reflect the expanded mission to serve children, teens, and their families who were struggling with abuse, addiction, and suicide within their family unit.
